BLUELIGHT COMMUNICATIONS/ROCHESTER, NY has named veteran programmer VINNY BROWN PD for Urban WLGZ-HD2-W288CS (105.5 THE BEAT) and Latin WRSB-A-W248BH (97.5 LA MEGA).

BROWN told ALL ACCESS, “I see it as a great opportunity to combine my experience with an already talented staff toward enhancing station performance and company success. As a PD/Mgr. I’ve always led by example for those willing to adapt or learn from shared wisdom. I see this as a great fit. Prior to this, I’ve been pretty much been semi-retired, freely mentoring many radio folks who frequently reached out for opinions, advice, and air check critiques. I also still serve on the Board of Directors for the LIVING LEGENDS FOUNDATION.

BROWN’s career resume includes programming for 10 yrs at WRKS/NY, 10+ yrs of OM duties at WBLS/WLIB/NY, and 3-years as Exec. VP for KJLH/LOS ANGELES. Outside of radio, he appeared as himself on the TV sitcom MARTIN, served as a contributing consultant to the movie “JUICE” featuring TUPAC SHAKUR and OMAR EPPS, and he also appeared in the WENDY WILLIAMS LIFETIME biopic and was portrayed in her LIFETIME movie.
