Livestreams & Virtual Concerts: Week of April 26 – May 2

April 26: Palestinian DJ and producer Sama’ Abdulhadi is curating a monthlong residency on Beatport to highlight the Middle East’s dance music scene. This week will feature sets by Nané Matōk, Jason Kaakoush, Yara Muhrez and others. The stream begins at 9 a.m. ET via Beatport’s YouTubeTwitch, and Facebook accounts. 

April 28: Smashing Pumpkins are streaming their 2012 concert held at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. During that show, the band played Oceania in full, which was then followed by some of their hits and deep cuts. The show begins at 5 p.m. ET and streams via Oculus. 

Nikki Blonsky is hosting virtual benefit concert for Rock CAN Roll, which organizes food drives and more to donate to food banks and soup kitchens. Libby Quinn, Dudley Music and more are slated to perform. The event begins at 7 p.m. ET, and there is a $4.99 suggested donation. 

April 28-29: This year’s SelectCon will feature Pharrell Williams, 21 Savage, A$AP Ferg and others as the headlining speakers. The free virtual event is a conference aimed at helping independent creators take control of their careers. RSVP here. 

April 29: Big Thief’s November 2019 concert in Columbus, Ohio, will be streaming via Noonchorus. The show will stream twice – at 7 and 10 p.m. ET. Tickets are $12 

April 30: Thomas Rhett is celebrating the release of Country Again: Side A live from Nashville. He’ll be performing songs from the new album, as well as old favorites. The show begins at 8 p.m. ET; tickets start at $15. 

Black Veil Brides are offering an unplugged show, taped from The Den in L.A. The event will explore the stories behind the band’s songs. The show begins at 7 p.m. ET; tickets start at $10. 

Daya is playing a livestream show that she teased via Instagram would have “lots of new tings and surpises.” The show begins at 8 p.m. ET; tickets start at $15

Dean Lewis is performing an intimate unplugged live show. He’ll be playing his new single “Falling Up,” “Waves,” “Half a Man,” and more from his catalog. The show begins at 9 p.m. ET; tickets start at $16.50.

May 1: Dinosaur Jr. are celebrating the release of their 12th album, Sweep It Into Space, with a live concert streamed from The Sinclair in Cambridge, Mass. The show begins at 9 p.m. ET; tickets start at $15. 

Dropkick Murphys are throwing an album release party to celebrate Turn Up That Dial, their 10th studio release. The show will feature a new set of songs from the album, as well as fan-favorite tunes. The show begins at 8:30 p.m. ET. The concert – which will stream via Facebook and YouTube — is free, but the band is encouraging donations to help pay their employees, as well as to donate to charity. 

Staind are celebrating the upcoming release of Live: It’s Been Awhile by offering a sneak peek with a livestream event. The show begins at 5 p.m. ET; tickets start at $18. 

Dawes is livestreaming a performance from L.A.’s The Roxy. The show begins at 10 p.m. ET; tickets start at $15. 

Jimmy Buffett’s Nothing But Time virtual tour continues. This week, he’ll be streaming his June 1996 concert held at Atlanta’s Lakewood Amphitheatre. The free show begins at 8 p.m. ET via Nugs.net. 

MAMAMOO are celebrating seven years together with a livestream show inspired by New York. The K-pop quartet will be playing some of their biggest hits, and will also chat about life as a group. The show begins at 9 p.m. ET; tickets start at $15. 

National Parks will be performing some of the hits from their new album Wildflower, as well as from their catalog, live from Salt Lake City’s Vivint Arena. The show begins at 9 p.m. ET; tickets start at $10. 

May 2: Becky G, Maluma and more are participating in virtual event Reventón de Verano, which Lele Pons is hosting to celebrate Hispanic music, art, and culture. The event begins streaming at 6 p.m. ET via ReventonLive.com, and Anheuser-Busch’s TwitterFacebookYouTube and Instagram accounts.
