Maltz Performing Arts Center extends virtual concert series through May

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Maltz Performing Arts Center will continue to share local music performances with its “Live! (streamed) at Silver Hall” series. The shows are set to continue through at least the end of May.

The series initially kicked off in August 2020, and it’s since hosted 29 performances and raised more than $10,000 in donations for performing bands and artists — all of whom are local to the Greater Cleveland area, according to a press release.

The livestreamed concerts are free to view, with donations accepted for performers. Each show is recorded live on the Maltz Performing Arts Center’s Silver Hall stage to an empty venue. Shows can be viewed at case.edu/maltzcenter/livestreamedatsilverhall.

Upcoming performances include classical group North Coast Winds, folk band Worry Stone, pop artist Corry Michaels and the Moises Borges Quartet jazz group.

“We’ve reached out to local artists and ensembles and generated a great and eclectic schedule,” said Maltz Center Director Jason Cohen in a press release. “All concerts are free and co-promoted by [Case Western Reserve University and Maltz Performing Arts Center] and the Ohio Arts Professionals Network, as well as the artist performing, and gives a real opportunity for these groups to reach their audiences during the pandemic.”

Now, the series will continue with shows that typically take place twice per week, featuring a range of local performers. Check out the lineup below:
